As the founder of My Dog Needs A Dad, Heidi Zielinski has been able to mesh a few things together that she has always been passionate about. Love, happiness, and dogs.
A couple of years ago, Heidi was invited to a Bachelorette party in San Diego, which meant plenty of beach time. When told that everyone was ordering bathing suits with different sayings, Heidi wanted to think of something clever to put on hers. Something catchy that would make people smile.
The year was 2020. The world was weird, and dating was even weirder. Single at the time, she would often look at her rescue pup Henry Budd and tell him that she needed to find him a dad.
WAIT! THAT WAS IT!!! “My Dog Needs A Dad!!” Big and bold, smack center on the bathing suit.
Fast forward to San Diego… The amount of giggles, compliments, and conversations this bathing suit started was unreal! That’s when the thought came to her… “If singles are willing to go on apps and swipe on each other, why not self advertise like this, IN REAL LIFE, letting people know that not only are you single, you’re looking, and… you love dogs!

Henry Budd was rescued July 23rd, 2017, and has been filling our days with his snuggles and fun personality ever since.
